About Chavas Vending

On September 15, 1986, John Chavas started Chavas Vending with nothing more than a garage and one cargo van. Within three months, he hired his daughter, Lisa Chavas Hoffman, as office manager and his son-in-law, Mike Hoffman, as a driver and mechanic. Now his granddaughter, Kristen Hoffman Westberg, has also joined the family business.

Currently, Chavas Vending has 11 employees, six route trucks, and two full-time mechanics. As the company has grown, John has maintained a strong family atmosphere and support for all employees.

During the floods of ’93, Chavas Vending lost nearly everything. They purchased over an acre of land and constructed a 13,500 sq. ft. warehouse and office. To date, Chavas Vending is grossing over a million dollars in business annually.
